CROSSCUT SAW
KP 900 EasyCut
The crosscut saw KP 900 EasyCut is an ideal solution for businesses processing solid wood, emphasizing maximum quality and yield of their production. It's designed for cutting out defects and optimizing lengths. On average, this saw can process up to 900 board meters per hour (with material 4 meters long and 8 cuts). Depending on the material being processed, the saw can be operated by one or two workers.
The Optimization Saw KP 900 EasyCut is designed for production focused on precise cutting, minimizing waste of expensive material, speed, and simultaneously ensuring work safety. The advantage of the machine lies in its high degree of flexibility in the input and output dimensions of the processed material. The saw operation is intuitive, and special software facilitates programming and inputting cutting parameters. KP 900 EasyCut offers expanded options for mechanization at the output.
Device Functions
Length Optimization
This function minimizes waste and maximizes the yield of the assortment. The inserted material is optically scanned by a scanner and automatically arranged precisely for cutting according to the specified lengths of the chosen program. The optimization system always prioritizes the cut of the longest specified length that fits into the inserted material. The saw automatically measures the length of each inserted piece, so it's not necessary to pre-sort the material by size. In case of marked defects, the material is optically divided into individual pieces (from defect to defect), and these pieces are again individually length-optimized. If the cut piece does not meet the length of the smallest length in the program, it goes to waste. In the selected program, automatic front and rear trimming can be set.
Quality Optimization - Waste
The essence of this function is that the operator visually evaluates the cut piece and marks with special chalk two perpendicular lines indicating the areas with defects that need to be cut out. By passing the scanner with special optics over the cut material, the current positions (chalk marks) of the necessary cuts are recorded. The resulting pieces of various lengths (from defect to defect) are automatically length-optimized and cut into the desired lengths according to the cutting program using software. If the cut piece does not meet the length of the smallest length in the program, it goes to waste. In the selected program, automatic front and rear trimming can be set.
Solid and robust construction with a robust cover
of the cutting area ensures high work safety
The quality of individual components, materials, and processing
ensures smooth operation of the device and long service life in demanding working conditions.
Material flow
In the basic version, the saw is LEFT-oriented, meaning the material flow is from right to left.
Automatic feeding system
It is a combination of sophisticated pushing device and optics. The system is an integral part of the input table. It moves along a precise linear rail with bearings and ensures very precise positioning of the workpiece for cutting (up to ±0.1 mm). Thanks to the integrated optical system, the feeder reads the length of the material, marked defects, and quality.
Clear 15" touchscreen display
Enables easy and comfortable machine operation. Individual controls are clearly visible, do not strain the operator's eyes, and provide a perfect overview on the screen. Maximum ergonomics and designed software ensure complete control of the machine for the operator.
Worktable at the input before cutting
Can be smooth or with rollers. It allows the operator to conveniently prepare the material, which is then fed to the input table with the feeder. This eliminates downtime during saw operation and strenuous material handling. The table tilt is 8° and is equipped with a safety flap at its end to prevent unwanted material displacement beyond the operator's reach.
Basic fixed table at the output after cutting
It is standard two meters long and partially under the cover of the cutting area. The operator can safely remove the cut material without being endangered by any cut-offs, chips, or risking injury from the saw blade. The table tilt is 8°.
Toolbox and network connection
Thanks to the original Toolbox software and network connection via an RJ 45 Ethernet port, you can easily prepare cutting plans or evaluate statistical data comfortably in your office. This standard equipment of the optimization saw significantly increases work efficiency on the machine, and the obtained statistics can serve as a basis for quality control of input material, etc. Toolbox allows integrating the optimization saw into so-called flexible production or production nodes. Data can also be downloaded, transferred, and uploaded via USB.

The Störi Mantel Optimization Cross Cut Saws can be complemented or configured with a range of optional equipment. Below, we present the basic options, but if you have different requirements or queries, we would be happy to discuss them with you.
Saw
Right-hand configuration - material flow is from left to right.
More powerful motor - the saw can be equipped with an 11 kW or 15 kW motor.
Different diameter saw blade - optionally, the saw can be fitted with a 550 mm diameter blade.
Cutting Conditions
Side pressure on the output - ensures material pressing against the rear support during cutting so that the output conveyor does not remove material from the cut. It also serves as rear pressure for precise and perpendicular cuts.
Feeder positioning system +/-0.1 mm - ensures maximum precision in material feeding into the cut.
Finger pressure - presses the material against the support during cutting, preventing unwanted movement during the cut. It increases the accuracy and perpendicularity of the cut.
Feeder clamp - perfectly secures the cut material on the input table and during cutting.
Motor speed control - adjusts the blade speed according to the nature of the material being shortened.
Input Mechanization
Cross feeding chain conveyor - arm is 2 meters long and the number of conveyor arms is usually determined by the length of the saw's input table but can be customized according to customer preferences.
Output Mechanization
Extension of the basic fixed output table (smooth).
Sorting conveyor belt - works based on electronic length measurement with the possibility of material sorting using automatic ejectors.
Fixed output table with rollers - used for easy manipulation with long and heavy material.
Driven or non-driven roller conveyor - can be up to 4 m long and 400 mm wide.
Automatic ejector - simplifies sorting of shortened material. The number of ejectors for optimization saws is limited by the length of the sorting conveyor.
Slide table (gravity chutes) - perpendicular to the sorting conveyor, collecting shortened material according to sorted lengths.
Controlled waste flap
Chip or block conveyor - helps continuously transport the respective material to the collection point (cage, basket, waste bin, etc.).
Special Equipment
Electric distribution and control panel tempering - necessary if the machine is located in unheated areas.
